Our first ultrasound brought some pretty exciting news--we're not having one baby but TWO! Jacob and I stared blankly off into the abyss after the tech casually said, "there's one baby and here's the other." Excuse me....come again....We couldn't believe what we had just heard yet the facts stared back at us on that monitor. There were definitely two amniotic sacs with two beating heart beats. Holy cow! What are we going to do?
Don't get me wrong, I have longed for twins since an early age. After all, my best friends are identical twins and they have a unique and special bond and relationship. I often found myself wishing that I too had a twin to share everything with and be my very best friend in the world. Well, I may not have gotten the chance to be a twin, but my babies will! How exciting!
